Société de développement économique du Saint-Laurent (St. Lawrence Economic Development Council) Established in November 1985, the SODES is a non-profit organization mandated to protect and promote the economic interests of the St. Lawrence. SODES represents the St. Lawrence maritime community, which includes all public and private agencies whose activities have a direct or indirect impact on the economy of the St. Lawrence within Québec, and voices its concerns to governments with regard to the economic development and life of the St. Lawrence.
