Lake Michigan Online Atlas
Overview | Data Index | Regional
Resources | Online Mapping
Overview This project provides Internet access to a number of
resources related to the Lake Michigan basin. It is part of enabling the
Great Lakes Information Network to serve as a central coordinating point
for mapped information about the region. Reference maps offer overviews
of a variety of topics. Downloadable data sets allow agencies, researchers
and interested individuals to work within a common framework and minimize
duplication of effort. Links and information about regional resources help
improve communication and coordination. And an online mapping tool is available
for web-based data exploration and mapping.
Funding for this project was provided by the
US EPA’s Great Lakes National
Program Office. Project development was carried out by the
Great Lakes Commission, with extensive support from US EPA-GLNPO’s
Lake Michigan Team.
