Great Lakes GIS Online Pilot Area Overview | Pilot Areas 
Overview The Great Lakes GIS Online project partners--a variety of U.S. and Canadian federal and state agencies--are populating an online library with numerous data sets, including Great Lakes shoreline, soils, land use and land cover, hazardous waste sites, demographics, watersheds and transportation. The project goal is to provide user-friendly online mapping of many of these files by developing and maintaining a state-of-the-art online mapping system.
Pilot Area 
Ohio Lake Erie Commission Pilot Area This pilot area merges spatial data from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. This pilot area currently covers the Ohio counties of Lucas, Fulton, Henry, Wood, Ottawa and Sandusky.
