Frog-Bit Challenge
Alpena, MI
Huron Pines and the Northeast Michigan Cooperative Weed Management Area are hosting the second year of the Frog-Bit Challenge. We will be hosting volunteer events and helping people identify and pull invasive frog-bit from the Thunder Bay River Watershed throughout the summer, with the goal of pulling 20,000 lbs! We can provide maps and pulling supplies as well as labor assistance for interested volunteers. Anyone in Michigan who wants to pull frog-bit can record what they pull on our website and we'll recognize their efforts at a celebration event and online.
