Federal Resources National Association of Resource Conservation and Development Councils The NARC & DC was established in 1988 to represent America's 315 local Resource Conservation and Development Councils. American Farmland Trust For the past 16 years, American Farmland Trust has worked to protect our nation's best, most productive farmland while encouraging farmers to improve the stewardship of their land. Illinois Council on Food and Agricultural Research University of Illinois C-FAT aims at securing additional resources to adequately fund relevant and high-quality research and related outreach programs that lead to profitable, consumer-sensitive and environmentally sound food and agricultural systems in Illinois and the nation. Illinois Farm Bureau Illinois Farm Bureau is a member of the American Farm Bureau Federation, a national organization of farmers and ranchers including Farm Bureaus in 49 other states and Puerto Rico. Illinois Soybean Association Provides information in soybean uses in industry and related organizations. Indiana Wine Grape Council School of Agriculture, Purdue University Their mission is to enhance the economic development of the wine and grape industry within Indiana. Michigan Farm Bureau The state's argest general farm organization, with over 165,000 family members in 68 county Farm Bureaus. Midwest Organic Alliance Encourages the reduction of environmentally-harmful agricultural chemicals used in food production in the midwest, including Minnesota and Wisconsin. Minnesota Farmers Union A voice for rural Minnesota. Provides agricultural news and information. Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association Represents the interests of the state's nursery, garden center and landscape industry. Ontario Federation of Agriculture Their mission is to improve the economic and social well-being of farmers in cooperation with county, commodity and rural farm groups. Soil and Water Conservation Society SWCS fosters the science and the art of soil, water and related natural resource management to achieve sustainability.
