Chun Yi,
I think the best way to answer your question is "both." As discussed last
week, it would be efficient for us if we had at least one representative
from our regional group on each of the national teams to efficiently gather
and provide information from this activity.
The attachment here reflects the discussion we had last week regarding
updating some of the methodologies for the regional project and in
participating in the EPA's groups. As was pointed out, there is probably not
a need to revisit all the methodologies. It would be better to focus
attention on any that we feel might be improved upon based on recent
information, etc.
If people would like to participate in a particular one of the EPA's groups,
I suggest they let us know and respond to the EPA on their own prior to the
Feb. 14th deadline. We won't have a chance to discuss this as a group until
our next call on the 22nd. If we decide at that time that some additional
people should participate in some groups, we can inform the EPA belatedly.

FYI. Do you think we should respond to this request individually or as
a group?

Chun Yi,
by now you have hopefully seen the list serve finally go out -
however, I've just noticed that the end of the last sentence of first
paragraph got chopped off. That sentence asked for responses by
Wednesday, February 14 to "NEI Task Force@EPA". I hope that allows for
GLC participation. We're preparing a revised list serve.

Ron,
Could you tell me when will be the deadline for responding the
participation of the workgroups? The Great Lakes Regional air toxics
emission inventory Steering Committee would like to have its members
represented on each of these groups. We will have a meeting next week
and should let you know by 2/2/07.

Subject: Jan 16 telecon notes and proposed list serve
Attached are the meeting notes from the January Task Force call and the
proposed NEI list serve notice asking for volunteers for the source
category workgroups. Please send any comments on either to "NEI Task
Force@EPA". We plan to send the list serve out by Friday, Jan 26. Note
that I have not tried to provide any more definitive descriptions of
what should be included in each of the workgroup categories. We think
that that the first task for each of the workgroups would be to
establish the scope of what can be best addressed within their category.
