Hi team,
As discussed on the last call, I've continued the work on putting together a
mapping of SCCs to categories for use in reporting. I've created categories
for all the SCCs on the EPA's list posted in 2004 and have added 32 SCCs
that are in the WebFIRE table, but not in the 2004 table. For the
categories, I've created shorter, single-column descriptions, which should
also be useful for reporting purposes, as the 4-column SCC descriptions are
not always idea for such purposes.
The materials are posted on the Wiki at http://glos.us/wiki/x/CAAa. Please
consider this a draft for which comments would be welcome. In actuality, it
will be a table in need of periodic updates based on the issuing of new SCCs
and/or suggested changes that might arise based on experience with using it.
As we talked about on the call, this table is intended to be used only for
reporting FROM the regional database (e.g., in preparing the triennial
reports). The mapping scheme being proposed would not have any influence on
what SCCs team members are using to estimate or report emissions TO the
regional repository or how there data is stored there.
I'd like to put together a similar mapping table for material codes showing
which material codes get mapped to the 211 pollutants/categories included in
the official project list. I'd also like to include as much information in
that table as might be useful for other purposes (e.g., CAS, NEI code,
name). Does anyone have a mapping of RAPIDS material codes to NEI pollutant
codes?
Jon
