Re: FW: 2005 emissions for GLC states

Jon,

I think we should take what we can get. We'll have to import it into
Access and do the aggregation. Thanks for your help with this.

Hi Group,

I spoke with Laurel Driver of EPA this morning regarding getting our
hands
on onroad and off-road emissions data. She would be prepared to send us
the
data mentioned below within the next week. It will take some massaging
of
the data on our part, which I assume shouldn't be a problem. As I
understand
it, we just need to sum these by year. Does anyone have any comments on
this
before I respond to her? We will have to talk on our call next week
about
the aircraft, locomotive and marine vessel emissions.

Jon

Hi Jon,

It looks like I will not be able to readily make annual files for you
for 2005 onroad and nonroad data. So what I'd like to do is mail you
a
disc of monthly data for the states of interest to you. I'll need a
mailing address.

Just to be sure you know what you'll get (and that it's what you
want),
here's a description of what I have:

- 2005 estimates generated via EPA's Office of Transportation and Air
Quality's National Mobile Inventory Model (NMIM). NMIM estimates
onroad
with MOBILE6 and nonroad with NONROAD models. These emissions do not
include aircraft, locomotive, or commercial marine estimates.

- the estimates include criteria as well as hazardous air pollutant.

- the estimates include emission types (evap, exhaust, tire,
brakewear,
and refueling). Note that in the National Emissions Inventory (NEI),
we
pull out onroad refueling emissions and sum them up and put them in
the
nonpoint sector under the SCC = 2501060100 "gasoline service stations:
stage II total". Nonroad refueling emissions get summed up into the
equipment SCCs in the nonroad sector of NEI.

- there is a .txt file for each state, containing emissions for each
month. The fields are

State&County FIP code, Year, Month, SCC, EmissionType, Pol Code,
Emission in Tons
