Steering Committee, On one of our calls late this past summer I demonstrated
briefly an internet application that was being developed under one of the GLAD
projects to provide a fairly simple modeling tool for chemical fate in the Great
Lakes ecosystem. This tool is now complete and as one of the group’s
final tasks, they have compiled and put online a series of maps of our 2002
data to assist users of the website in estimating what the emissions within
each lake watershed might be. These are online at: http://glad.syrres.com/montecarlo/hapmaps.asp One thing to note is that they’ve only included those
counties that are within a watershed of one of the Great Lakes, so it only
shows a subset of our inventory. Nevertheless, these maps may prove useful at
some point. The modeling application is now in final form and can be
