Use of project data in internet modeling application

Steering Committee,

On one of our calls late this past summer I demonstrated briefly an internet application that was being developed under one of the GLAD projects to provide a fairly simple modeling tool for chemical fate in the Great Lakes ecosystem. This tool is now complete and as one of the group’s final tasks, they have compiled and put online a series of maps of our 2002 data to assist users of the website in estimating what the emissions within each lake watershed might be. These are online at:

http://glad.syrres.com/montecarlo/hapmaps.asp

One thing to note is that they’ve only included those counties that are within a watershed of one of the Great Lakes, so it only shows a subset of our inventory. Nevertheless, these maps may prove useful at some point.

The modeling application is now in final form and can be found at:

Regards,

Jon
