RE: Update RAPIDs SCC Table

Tom,

I think it is certainly wiser to update to project table to include the additional SCCs than to revise the practice at your, or other, agencies. We will certainly see that these additional SCCs are included in the reference SCC table that is included when the new RAPIDS is released, provided you continue to remind us of this when we get to that point. The question will be whether to make a systematic effort to provide an update to the reference table for SCCs that is in the last version of RAPIDS (2.4.1). We can discuss on the next call (Wednesday)what the easiest way to approach this is.

Subject: Update RAPIDs SCC Table

To All

I uploaded the State files in the stand alone RAPIDs file and a number of records are being rejected.

The dominant reason for the rejected records is due to RAPIDs outdated SCC table.

For example, the following SCC were used in the generation of the State inventories but are

missing in RAPIDs

2285002010 Rail

2280002020 Marine

2280002040 Marine

2275020000 Aircraft

2275050000 Aircraft

There may be more incompatible SCCs between NMIM and RAPIDs or even Mobile 6 and RAPIDs.

Instead of revising the State inventory SCCs to conform with existing RAPIDs codes, I suggest

bringing the RAPIDS SCC table up to date.

Are we in agreement with that approach?

Tom.
