RE: Pollutant reference

We have agreed several times to use DIBUTYL PHTH for 84-74-2 and DIOCTYL PHTH for 117-81-7.  However, we haven’t done good follow-ups to correct the codes in respective RAPIDS databases.

Hi Cong,

There was a missing page and broken like for this compound on the wiki. I’ve fixed the link and added a blank page that will need to be filled in for 117-81-7.

Regarding the two RAPIDS pollutant codes, I don’t believe we’ve ever been able to successfully get everyone to agree to eliminating one. People often submit information using both codes, which is a problem.

Hi Jon,

FYI – The wiki targeted pollutant reference of following entry pointed to a different chemical reference. Have a look if you have a chance.

Diethylhexyl phthalate

Diethylhexyl phthalate

117-81-7

DIEYLHEX PHT and DIOCTYL PHTH

Referenced to:

RAPIDS Code: dibutyl_phth

Pollutant Name: Di-N-butyl phthalate

CAS Number: 84-74-2

Chemical Information:

Also, has the group decided to what RAPIDS pollutant code to be used for 117-81-7. It does not make sense to use both codes to refer to one material.

Thanks

Cong,
