Beach Meeting Agenda, List of Hotels, LMMCC meeting

Attached you will find the preliminary agenda for the Annual Meeting of the
Great Lakes Recreational Water Quality Association on October 30, 2002.
Rick Hoffmann, Team Leader, EPA National Beach Program has offered to give
us an overview current developments in the Beach Program.  In addition,
most of the State Beach Coordinators have agreed to participate in a panel
discussion.   Holly Wirick has been great in putting this session together.
After lunch we will have a short business meeting.  Please submit agenda
items for that meeting (e.g. 2003 Association officers, next meeting
location, next meeting agenda).  The afternoon will be devoted to technical
presentations.  We already have a nice mix of abstract submittals.  I think
we will all benefit from this portion of the meeting, especially the open
discussions that will accompany the session.  For those that haven't sent
in their abstract, Sheridan Haack told me that she will accept abstracts
for the remainder of the week (shaack@usgs.gov).  Also attached is a GLNPO
website giving a list of hotels in Chicago. While some of the hotels are
expensive, but many of them have discount rates for government employees.

Finally, there are two other important meetings in Chicago that have been
conveniently scheduled to coincide with our annual Association meeting.

On October 29, 2002, the Lake Michigan Monitoring Coordination Council will
meet.  Anyone involved in Lake Michigan monitoring will benefit from this
meeting. Here is their annoucement.  Hope many of you can attend.
