Scientific and technical session at GLRWQA meeting, October 30

All,

We have about 13 very high quality and informative presentations submitted
so far for the afternoon session.  I will accept abstracts through the end
of this week.  Please note my correct e-mail address: skhaack@usgs.gov.  It
was incorrect in the most recent e-mail regarding accomodations, etc.

We are considering the following format for presentations in this session:
All presenters would be asked to give a 5 minute summary of the major
points of their presentation, then following these presentations we would
break into a poster-session format, in which all attendees would have an
opportunity to discuss details at length with the presenters and view
posters or receive hand-out materials.  We are considering having our
afternoon refreshments concurrent with the informal part of this session.
We feel this would offer the best opportunity for every presenter to be
heard by all attendees AND to provide more details to those most
interested.

Please provide any comments you have on this format for the scientific and
technical session.
