How prevalent are beach closings due to harmful algal blooms?

There is a growing interest to determine how prevalent harmful algal blooms (HAB) are in the Great Lake states and how often beaches are closed due to HAB.  

Please reply to the beach net or me if you are aware of the number of beach closures due to HAB in your district or state.  Please also mention or describe the criteria used to close a beach due to HAB.  

I will prepare a summary and share it by the end of the month.
