Hello all,
The Ontario Ministry of the Environment has posted a report on its external website entitled “Sources and mechanisms of delivery of E. coli (bacteria) pollution to the Lake Huron shoreline of Huron County.” The report includes a review summary of 20+ years worth of projects and initiatives undertaken in the area to reduce bacterial pollution to the Lake Huron shoreline and analysis of 10 years worth of beach monitoring data obtained from the local health unit from beaches across approximately 80 km of Lake Huron shoreline. The committee which produced the report consisted of technical experts from the Ministry of the Environment, Ministry of Agriculture and Food, local conservation authorities and health unit, and Environment Canada.
