The Great Lakes Beach Association Board
is gathering ideas for sessions and topics for this fall's conference,
to be held Oct. 3-5 in Traverse City, MI, in conjunction with the State
of Lake Michigan Conference. We would appreciate any ideas/recommendations/information
needs you would like to have addressed at the conference. Currently
we are planning presentations on rapid methods, predictive models, and
human health issues for Great Lakes beaches, as well as updates on USEPA
and Great Lakes programs related to beaches.
If there are other topics you would
like to have addressed, please send that information to Sheridan Haack,
GLBA President, at skhaack@usgs.gov. Please suggest a speaker for
the topic if you have a good candidate in mind.
