Save the Date. The Great Lakes Beach Association will hold its annual meeting at Indiana Dunes November 3-5, 2008. Topics include research on indicators, pathogens, and algae, modeling, rapid testing, remediation, source tracking, managementcollaboration opportunities, public health, and communication. Other beach related subjects such as bird botulism, aesthetics, economics, infrastructure, beach nourishment/erosion, runoff, signage, criteria are encouraged. A Beach 101 course is planned.
