Hello everyone
I thought I would share this opportunity in the event there may be interest
to present some of the great work being done on either side of the boarder in
the areas of recreational beach water quality and safety. For our colleagues
and friends in the U.S., the
Regional Municipality of Peel is about one hour northeast of Buffalo
N.Y., just west of Toronto, Ontario.
The
Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI) is the national
professional association that represents Environmental Public Health
professionals across Canada.
The mission of CIPHI is to “advance the profession, science and the field
of environmental public health through education, certification, advocacy and
setting standards. We protect the health of Canadians and represent
environmental health professionals across Canada. CIPHI consists of a National
Executive Council and eight regional branches, including the Ontario Branch.
The Region Peel Public Health will be hosting the 69th
annual educational conference of the Canadian Institute of Public Health
Inspectors (Ontario Branch). The conference will be held at Delta
Meadowvale Resort and Conference Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada from Sept. 14 to 17,
2008. This year’s theme is Shifting Landscapes in Environmental Health: Meeting the
Challenge. This annual event attracts environmental health
professionals from across Ontario and other regions of Canada, representatives
from all levels of government, decision-makers in the environmental health
sector, Medical Officers of Health and other partners in health protection, prevention
and promotion.
We are now inviting you to consider submitting an abstract for the
conference.
