BEACHNET==> Spam on Beachnet

I would first like to apologize for the tusami of spam that everyone got
today. It was unfortunate series of listserv mistakes that led to that and
I hope your mailbox will recover.

Beachnet is a web community of nearly 900 people interested in maintaining
communication on the latest information on beach water quality, management,
pathogens, shoreline protection and other recreational water quality issues
(e.g. icrobial source tracking, algal problems, water safety). It is
sponsored by Great Lakse Beach Association, hosted by the Great Lakes
Commissiona and supported in part by the by various state and federal
agencies. It is not a chat line. The listserv is great for asking
questions, but responses should be directed at the inquirier not beachnet
as a whole. Also, we don't want any commercial content in our messages. I
think beachnet has worked remarkably well up until yesterday. That is quite
impressive considering the number of members we have. If you still want to
unsubscribe, let me know or go to the beachnet website and it will explain
how to unsubcribe.
Please help me make Beachnet an effective and efficient communication tool.
