Creating an E-mail List
The criteria for establishing an e-mail list through the Great Lakes Information Network are the following:
- The list must involve parties from the Great Lakes states and/or benefit the region as a whole. Most ideally, the proposed list should deal with some issue involving the lakes or the surrounding lake basins (e.g., water quality, land use, air deposition, remedial action plans, pollution prevention, etc).
- A critical amount of people must be on the list to make it worthwhile to actually create a list (20-30 people is the minimum). If there are less people involved, we would prefer that you set up your own list using your e-mail program's address book.
List hosting is currently a free GLIN service to promote use of e-mail and the Internet to enhance Great Lakes communications. If you're interested in creating a new Great Lakes list, contact Hugh Brennan, GLIN Webmaster, at hbrennan@glc.org for further details.
