Bill Collins, a Wetlands Consultant, will show us what can be done to 
become effective advocates for the protection of our valuable 
wetlands.  There is no fee for attendance, but donations will be 
greatefully accepted.

10:00 - 12:00  Three or four site visits to local wetlands
12:00 - 12:30  Lunch at the Center
12:30 -  1:15  Federal, State, and Local Legislation
 1:15 -  2:00  Effective Advocacy

Directions to Upland Hills Ecological Awareness Center (EAC):

>From I-75 N. of Detroit, go to exit 81 (Lapeer Rd/M-24).  Go North on 
Lapeer Rd. 7.5 miles past the Palace, through Lake Orion, to Indian 
Lake Rd.  Turn right (East) on Indian Lake Road.  Go 3 miles to 
Upland Hills School entrance on right. (sign is modest, off road and 
hard to see).  Park in school parking lot, then walk over foot bridge 
behind school to EAC.

Or, go .2 mile further on Indian Lake Rd. where you'll see a bigger 
sign on right.  Follow signs to secondary parking lots, then walk on 
the driveway to the EAC.

If you get to Upland Hills Farm at the corner of Indian Lake and Lake 
George Roads, you've gone too far.  Their driveways do not lead to 
the EAC.
