Intern Position
Huron River Watershed Council

Duties :
The intern will work on the Middle Huron Initiative; a pollution reduction 
strategy for the middle Huron River Basin in Washtenaw and western Wayne 
Counties.  The Intern will assist the Initiative Coordinator, meeting with 
communities, assessing their current pollution reduction/prevention programs 
and policies and recommending future actions to be taken.  The work will 
involve planning and facilitating meetings, developing pollution reduction 
action plans, and conducting research.

Dates & Hours:
The position is open immediately.  40 hours per week through the end of 
September (with possible (hopeful) extension should pending grant funding 
become available).  Salary is $10 per hour.

Qualifications:
The applicant needs to have an undergraduate degree, demonstrated knowledge of 

water quality issues/protection, and excellent communication and writing 
skills.  Knowledge of land use planning and environmental science is an 
advantage.
