E-M:/ Frog & Toad Survey - Rouge River Watershed

Enviro-Mich message from lara <larz@umich.edu>

August 27, 1997

The Friends of the Rouge River, in cooperation with Applied Science and
Technology, Inc., is starting the first phase of a survey and monitoring
program that will ultimately cover the entire Rouge River Watershed.
Coordinators are needed in Wayne, Oakland and Washtenaw Counties.
Experience with frog and toad surveys is desirable but not necessary; all
training will be provided. The survey program itself is streamlined and
simplified such that even school children can participate.

Assistance is needed for the following tasks:

* Recruiting and instructing field observers
* Assembling and distributing materials and maps
*  Monitoring survey progress
*  Checking survey results

If you would like to participate in this effort to gather data for the
purpose of preserving wildlife habitat in the Rouge, contact:
