Manager, Communications and Information Management Program
Great Lakes Commission

The Great Lakes Commission seeks a manager for its Communications and
Information Management Program with at least 5 years relevant management
experience and a demonstrated record of success in design and
administration of communciations and information management programs;
outstanding fund-raising and financial management; personnel management;
a thorough knowledge of both conventional and electronic communications
technology and information management; innovative and creative thinking;
team building and group facilitation; and familiarity with the Great
Lakes region and relevant environmental protection, resource management,
transportation and economic development policy issues.

Applicant must have at least a bachelor's degree in journalism,
communications, public policy or a related discipline. Master's
preferred. Must also possess training in computer science and/or
demonstrated familiarity with the Internet and associated public policy
applications, including data and information management. Familiarity and
supervisory experience with report/newsletter editing, design,
production and marketing, press release preparation and media relations
desired. Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability
to communicate with diverse audiences, including scientists, elected
officials, managers and the general public is essential.
