E-M:/ Jordan River Valley

Enviro-Mich message from asagady@sojourn.com

Michigan Public Radio's Gretchin Millick just announced that
the hearing officer of the Michigan Public Service Commission
has announced a recommended denial of Walter Zaremba's request to
construct gas wells and pipelines in the Jordan River Valley.

The recommendation will go to the full Public Service Commission
for a final determination.

For the uninitiated.... the Jordan River Valley is a wild area
in a state forest south of M-32 and West of US 131 and
north of the village of Alba. There are scenic vistas and
trout fishing in the Jordan River.

This is the kind of place that makes Michigan special,
unlike those farm drains and industrial rivers they have down in Ohio and

Glen Shepherd and others...can you say something
more eloquent about the Jordan River Valley????
