Managing Metroparks for Biodiversity as well as Recreation: Oak Savanna
Restoration in the Toledo Metroparks--talk to be given by Michelle
Grigore, on April 26 at 2:00 pm at the Hartland Music Hall, Hartland
Michigan.

This talk is being sponsored by the Michigan Natural Areas Council in
cooperation with various CHEC (Clinton Huron Ecosystem Coalition) groups.
The Toledo Metroparks have in recent years taken a leading role
in managing unique natural areas within their park system.  At this
spring meeting of MNAC, ecologist Michelle Grigore will share the story of
their oak savanna restoration efforts in the Oak Openings Metropark.
Grigore, who currently serves as Development Director for the Toledo
Metroparks and is charged with membership campaigns and fund-raising, has
long taken leadership in many of these efforts.  Her talk is entitled
"Managing Metroparks for Biodiversity as well as Recreation: Oak Savanna
Restoration in the Toledo Metroparks."

The talk will be at 2:00 pm at the Hartland Music Hall in
Hartland, Michigan.  Hartland is located just north of Brighton near the
intersection of M-59 and US 23.  To find the Music Hall, exit US 23 at
M-59.  Take the service road just NE of the junction to the Hartland town
center.  The Music Hall will be the white church structure in the center
of town.  Refreshments will follow the meeting.
