An amendment by Rep. Karen Willard to the DNR Budget Bill (HB 5591) deleted
language that would have prevented the DNR from putting any staff time into
Natural Rivers issues if a "citizen-led advisory group" opposed the
designation of that river as a Natural River.  After a somewhat contentious
debate, with first a request for roll call, then a request NOT to have roll
call after the amendment looked like it was at about a tie, the amendment
passed.  Speaking in favor of the Willard amendment was Rep. Liz Brater.
Speaking against it was Rep. Bill Bobier.
