Enviro-Mich message from Poulsondav <Poulsondav@aol.com>

LANSING - A Canadian company's plan to sell millions of gallons of Lake
Superior water to Asian countries has angered state and national officials,
all of whom were caught by surprise.

There already are 100 trillion mosquitos on earth - enough to fill Michigan
Stadium with a pile three miles high - but experts say there may be more than
usual in May.

El Nino is waning, but the lasting impact of the unusual weather pattern
promises to bug Michiganders for months.
At the moment, the problems are underfoot in the form of beetle grubs and
overhead in the form of mosquitoes. They came out early thanks to El Nino-
inspired warm weather.

Expect mosquitoes to hit mid-Michigan within the next few days, with mosquito
hunters right behind them.
