THE ENVIRONMENTAL CAREERS ORGANIZATION(ECO) Boston, MA seeks to hire a
President. Founded in 1972, ECO's mission is "to protect and enhance the
environment through the development of professionals, the promotion of
careers, and the inspiration of individual action."  The President will
serve in a critical leadership role -- balancing the need to foster
infrastructure capacity with new approaches to fulfilling the
organization's
mission.  The President oversees a dynamic and complex operation
including
fundraising, program operations and finance and administration. More
specifically, candidates should possess a passionate commitment to
mentorship, workforce diversity and the development of environmental
careers; an ability to involve and mobilize people on joint and shared
efforts; a demonstrated track record in building internal capacity to
deepen
areas of needed business development; knowledge of governmental
contracting
and foundation grantmaking processes and successful experience
developing

The Public Education Network, 601 13th Street, NW, Suite 900 North,
Washington, DC 20005, is looking for:

Manager of Research to establish, develop and manage the activities of
the
Research Unit.  Oversees an information clearinghouse, an annual survey
of
members, and the division's publications, as well as the organization's
website and research task force.  Provides technical assistance and
program
management to projects as assigned.  Prepares concept papers and/or
proposals for new work as related to the clearinghouse and/or research
activities.  Works with Initiatives Manager to plan and integrate the
work
of the Education Divison.  Supervises associate and administrative
staff.

Director of Development:  The Senior Development Officer reports to the
Office of the President.   The job responsibilities include three main
functions:  expanding and coordinating PEN's short- and long-term
fundraising strategies; leading the development team and managing staff
and
consultants to implement the fundraising strategies as outlined in the
operating and work plans; and, in partnership with the Operations
Department, monitoring PEN's financial performance.
