Rule 901 Decision Pending

Russ Harding and close friends are awaiting a final decision on their
request to have Rule 901 removed from the State SIP. At stake is the
future of Rule 901. Rule 901 represents the last hope for communities
faced with obvious health & odor "nuisances" which have nonetheless been
pronounced as safe by DEQ modelers.

Commenters supporting proposed removal of Rule 901 from the Michigan SIP
included the ussual suspects: Dow Corning, GM, Ford, AAMA and MMA. In the
opposition were environmental justice and community groups working in some
of the most severly environmentally impacted communities in Michigan.

While, the official comment period is over, EPA should still be reminded
how vital Rule 901 is to communities fighting to protect their health.
Call Victoria Hayden at EPA at (312) 886-4023 to remind her that we are all
