The Upland Hills Ecological Awareness Center, located in a beautiful wooded,
natural setting east of Oxford, MI (20 minutes north of Pontiac) is 
offering a
number of outstanding ECOLOGY-RELATED WORKSHOPS that may be of interest to 
you.

CHANGING OUR WORLDVIEW, LOCATING HOME
A day of Talks & Dialogues with Stephanie Mills
Saturday, September 19, 10 am to 4:30 pm, $60 members/$70, Potluck lunch.

Stephanie Mills, who has lived on the Leelanau Peninsula for 14 years, has
been a
prominent voice in the ecology movement since 1969. Author of 4 books
concerning ecology and social change, and steadfast proponent of
bioregionalism, she is known for her eloquence, clarity and wit.


NATURAL BUILDING WORKSHOP with Deanne Bednar.
Saturday, September 26, 9:30 a.m. gathering at Upland Hills Ecological
Awareness Center, then moving to the building site (7 miles north of the
Center) at 11:00 til 5:00 p.m.; & / or Sunday, September 27,10:30 a.m. til
5:00 p.m. at the building site
$10 member/$15.  Potluck lunch.  
Saturday begins with a tour of this wood/solar heated, wind-powered 
building
with earth-roof. Sunday starts out at the building site itself.  Hands-on
experience with the building of a straw-bale studio with thatched roof.
