The new issue(September '98) of IET Update notes the enhancement of a
website that can be useful to environmentally interested folks in
Michigan. IET is the Institute for Environmental Toxicology at Michigan
State University. Their website at http://www.iet.msu.edu/ is an
excellent source for information on toxicology and other environmental
issues.

The enhanced site is prepared in collaboration with a number of
institutions and is called EXTOXNET at 

http://ace.orst.edu/info/extoxnet/faqs 

the enhancement gives links to environmental statutes, regulations, and
standards for both national and eventually all states(Michigan is up and
running). It is arranged in a straightforward approach and the linking
under broad categories of air, water, solid waste, etc. is convenient.
