The Washtenaw County Farm Bureau has reversed an earlier decision and
now supports the farm preservation proposal that county voters will
consider in the Nov. 3 general election.

A coalition opposing Washtenaw County's land preservation initiative on
the Nov. 3 ballot has filed a complaint against the county for using its
staff and resources to promote the program.

Genesee Twp. - U.S. Environmental Protection Agency officials will visit
Flint next week to investigate two environmental justice complaints. Mounting
publicity and political pressure have made the Flint cases -
one involves the wood-burning Genesee Power Station and the other a
proposed steel mini-mill - the EPA's top priority.
