E-M:/ re E-M recycling plastic

The situation with the recycling bags is unfortunate. Over on the west side
of the state, Spartan Stores stopped taking them too. Apparently people were
dropping trash into the bins and contaminating the load.

It is time to get a little inventive. When thinking about the three "R's" -
Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, try the second "R" - reduce, instead of using the
third "R" - recycle.

Ask for paper bags and reuse them the next time you go to the grocery store.
It is amazing how easy it is to remember them (after a while). You could
maybe use the plastic bags you have as trash liners.

Undoubtedly, someone out there can help us use the first "R" - reduce.

Personally, in the long run, I'd like to see the rates for trash disposal go
up and the rates for recycling to be zero.
