Click on "Quarterly Report" to see the list. (They still are on the Spring

Comments on the proposed Andreski Land Trade can be sent to Alan Nicholson
by E-mail at:

anicholson/r9,ottawa@fs.fed.us

This sale will trade important wildlife habitat in the Brule River Wild and
Scenic River corridor for less valuable lands. Numerous comments opposing
the trade have been received and there's time to send more letters! E-mail
Doug Cornett at: drcornet@up.net for an Action Alert!

The "Rolling Thunder" timber sale comment period has expired, but you can
still send your opinion to Pete Radcliffe at:

pratcliffe/r9,ottawa@fs.fed.us

Rolling Thunder is a 1700 acre timber sale on the eastern edge of the
Sylvania Wilderness. The sale proposes clearcuts on the edge of several
lakes and wetlands and will selection log recovering second growth
hardwoods and pine stands throughout. No old-growth stands are being
designated in this important habitat area.

Another timber sale, Northeast Ridge, is being proposed in the Trap Hills.
The Trap Hills is included in the "Save America's Forests" bill, which has
over 100 co-sponsors in the House. Direct your comments to Cindy Miller at:

cmiller/r9,ottawa@fs.fed.us

If you comment by E-mail, ask for confirmation that your message was received.
