MUSKEGON - Muskegon County officials consider accepting trash generated
outside the county into the county landfill. The idea is to raise much-needed
revenue for the solid-waste site on East Apple Avenue in Moorland Township,
while cutting transportation costs for West Michigan's dominant trash hauler
in the wake of today's closing of the privately owned White Lake Landfill.
