With this past weekend's "flame war,"  I want to re-emphasize that
"private replies" to messages on Enviro-Mich should not be posted
to the entire list.

A private reply is only of interest to the generator and the respondent.

Replies to messages should only be posted to the list if they are of broad
interest and information on the list on the issue of Michigan 
environmental protection and conservation.

A good example of a reply that would have been of interest to the 
entire list (but which was not posted) was some of the responses to 
the fellow who asked how to get text of provisions of the Natural 
Resources and Environmental Protection Act.

Personal "flame wars" where one participant criticizes another  and this
is not a matter of broad interest should not be posted to the 
entire list.  This is considered to be irrelevant and inappropriate 
posting conduct that is against the rules of the list.
