E-M:/ Motor oil in foundation building?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Enviro-Mich message from anne.woiwode@sfsierra.sierraclub.org

Folks:

Here is a startling message that came into our office from a fellow in
Livingston County. He reports that builders there use up to 8 to 10 gallons
of reclaimed motor oil on forms for pouring concrete for basements for new
buildings they are putting up. This oil goes straight into the soil after
serving its function. Has anyone else ever heard of this? The builders this
fellow talked to said that no one oversees this activity so they have never
been told to stop.
