PUBLIC MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

Contaminated Sediments in the Detroit River Area of Concern

Tuesday, January 26, 1999
6:30 p.m.
Trenton City Council Chambers
Corner of West Road and Jefferson Avenue

The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, Surface Water Qualty
Division, is hosting a public meeting concerning contaminated sediments
in the Detroit River Area of Concern.  The meeting will be held at the
City of Trenton Council Chambers on January 26th, 1999 from 6:30 to 8:30
p.m.  This meeting will follow the agenda below:

1)  Overview of Sediment Contamination in the Detroit River.
2)  Sediment Disposal Options and Initiatives.
3)  Avenues for Community Involvement.
4)  Questions and Comment Period.

This meeting is open to the public.  The Trenton City Council Chambers
are located on the corner of West Road and Jefferson Avenue, in the City
