About the Organization: Founded in 1979, the Watershed Council is a private non-profit conservation organization which works to protect lakes, streams, wetlands, and ground water in northern Michigan and across the Great Lakes Basin. Programs include education, water quality analysis and monitoring, advocacy, technical services, and capacity building for other organizations. Position Responsibilities: This two-year (minimum) position involves coordinating administration of the Great Lakes Aquatic Habitat Network and Fund and directing the Michigan River Network. 	* Maintain Great Lakes Aquatic Habitat Network and Fund Web Site
	* Edit and publish the Great Lakes Aquatic Habitat News
	* Provide habitat protection consultation services to grassroots organizations
	* Coordinate Fund administration and management
	* Develop and manage a clearinghouse for river protection in Michigan
	* Coordinate statewide river protection policy advocacy efforts
	* Facilitate capacity building for river and watershed groups

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in natural resources or related field; at least two years of experience in environmental advocacy or community organizing; excellent written and verbal communications skills; lots of energy and enthusiasm, self-motivated and organized, computer literate.

Salary:  $22,000-$25,000
