Contract Community Organizer

The Michigan Environmental Council (MEC) – a 19-year-old nonprofit coalition of 55 local, regional and statewide environmental and public health organizations – is seeking to fill a Community Organizer position. The successful candidate will have the ability to advance MEC’s goals relating to air quality issues in the metropolitan Detroit/downriver area. Responsibilities include all or some of the following:

Other assignments and responsibilities may be identified. Applicants should have strong organizational and communications skills. Wayne or Monroe County residency preferred but not required; some in-state and regional travel is required.
