Enviro-Mich message from positive@iserv.net (Charles Neller)

Poor benighted me. I thought the bright young whippersnapper who could
cheat Steve Jobs (and everyone else) would be YOUNG enough to realize he
wouldn't be writing "19" for year dates for the rest of his life. I mean,
that's what I've been telling everyone for two years: "It only applies to
banks that have been counting money since the 19th century and $200,000
farm harvesters with $200 microprocessors. A modern computer wouldn't be
affected."
Yeah, sure, when mainframe RAM was $1000 a kilobyte, they wrote compact,
elegant code, as short as possible. But in this day of bloated code with
millions of lines (many with random, unobtrusive bugs it would be too
expensive to eliminate, like DOS in Windows), it smacks of planned
obsolescence. Wanna buy a 20-meg hard drive?
By the way, what's a window? And could you contribute any direly ominous
warnings for us (we) few benighted Mac users?
In exchange, I'll lay some forboding darkness on you. Because of his
cleverness at seeing into your wallet, you've created a man richer than
God. But then again, consolidation is necessary if America is to take over
the world.
God bless America and Bill Gates!!!
Chuck Neller wrote this rodomontade; what have you done for me lately?
