On October 4-7 in Madison, WI, a national meeting titled Building On Leopold's
Legacy - Conservation for a New Century is being held.  The meeting is being
presented by the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters.
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the publication of Aldo Leopold's
classic, "A Sand County Almanac", this conference will bring together many of
the nations's most creative conservation leaders to consider our historical
foundations and to explore future directions.
This will be a WORKING conference where the insights of conference
participants will help to define an agenda for meeting the conservation
challenges of the future.  A number of notable speakers and presenters have
been invited.
