The Little Rabbit River Watershed project and the Allegan Conservation
District will be hosting a Watershed Tour on Thursday, October 7, 1999
from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

The Tour will be showcasing Best Management Practices that are reducing
nonpoint
source pollution in the Watershed; Information and Education projects
that promote the concept of watershed management; and efforts of local
officials to promote conservation development and other land use
management techniques in
their community that protect water quality.

The Little Rabbit River Watershed project is an EPA Clean Water Act
Section 319 grant administered by the Allegan Conservation District and
MDEQ. The project is in its final year of implementation and will end on
March 31, 2000. Join farmers, local and state officials, agency
personnel and other stakeholders on this informational capstone tour in
the Little Rabbit River Watershed in northern Allegan County. For more
