Adam Werbach--former Sierra Club President (elected at age 24), new TV
newsmagazine host, and author of a new book "Act Now, Apologize
Later"--will speak on Judaism and environmental responsibility at 7:30pm at
Congregation Shir Tikvah at 3900 Northfield Parkway in Troy, Michigan on
November 3.

A $5 donation is suggested to the newly formed Southeast Michigan Coalition
on the Environment and Jewish Life (SEM COEJL).

HOpe you can make it!

At 24, Adam was the youngest person to be elected president of the
104-year-old Sierra Club, which numbers more than 600,000 members across
the country.

Rolling Stone Magazine described Adam as "a fixture on lists of the most
influential people under thirty." He was the youngest Sierra Club President
and was responsible for recruiting so many young members into the Sierra
Club that it significantly decreased the age of the average Sierra Club

TEVA and the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit are also sponsoring
this event along with SEM COEJL.
