TOPIC:   "Nuclear Power- Who Needs It? Nuclear Issues and How they    effect 
West Michigan"  

Aging nuclear reactors along the Great Lakes shoreline continue to pose a 
threat to Michigan and the Great Lakes Basin.  Issues to be discussed - High 
level nuclear waste, with nowhere to go; Casks holding nuclear waste with 
cracks in the welds; Embrittlement of the reactor vessel at Palisades; 
Plutonium shipments through Michigan; Safety violations at Cook; Recycling of 
low-level nuclear waste in consumers goods; Refusal to stockpile Potassium & 
Iodine in case of nuclear accident; Mobile Chernobyl on highways
