Michigan Wildflower Conference will be held Sunday and Monday, March 5 & 6, 
2000 at the Kellogg Center, Michigan State University in conjunction with ANR 
Week. Dr. Darrell Morrison, Professor of Landscape Architecture at the 
University of Georgia will speak on Sunday morning and be the keynote speaker 
at the luncheon on Monday. (I understand he was the keynote speaker at the 
Wild Ones National convention in Wisconsin this year.)

Speakers at combined Sunday morning session are Emma Bickham Pitcher, author, 
lecturer and conservationist; Dr. Morrison; (afternoon general) Jerry 
Stewart, Resource Management Field Supervisor at J.F. New & Associates; Steve 
Law, District Conservationist NRCS;  Pat Ruta, Native Plants Initiative 
Coordinator for MACD; and Ray Rustem, Natural Heritage Supervisor, MDNR.

(Concurrent afternoon technical) Panel from Michigan Native Plant Producers 
Association moderated by Patrick Judd, and Will Ditzler, VP J.F. New & 
Associates. WAM Annual Meeting follows at 4:30--everyone is welcome.

Monday morning general includes Dr. Elwood "Woody" Ehrle, Prof. Emeritus, 
WMU; Elaine Crittenden, Beal Gardens-MSU; and Education Grant Awards Program. 
(Concurrent technical programs:) Steve Turner, Certified Arborist, author, 
owner of Distinctive Arboriculture in Metro Detroit; Trish Beckjord, 
Environmental Specialist, Johnson, Johnson & Roy and President of Ann Arbor 
Chapter Wild Ones.

Monday Luncheon Speaker: Dr. Darryl Morrison, Prof. Univ. of GA.

Joint afternoon sessions: Kim Herman, Stewardship and Natural Areas 
Coordinator, MDNR and Dave Borneman, Natural Areas Preservation Coordinator, 
Natural Area Preservation Div., Ann Arbor Parks Dept.
