> The National Audubon Society Wetlands Campaign is seeking a Grassroots
> Organizer whose primary responsibilities are to (1) organize and present
> leadership training workshops for Audubon chapters around the country; (2)
> recruit new and sustain existing members of the national wetlands network;
> and (3) assist the Campaign's Policy Specialist in bringing the power of the
> network to bear on federal policy decisions.
> Specific Duties
> * Develop and maintain relationships with network members;
> * Facilitate communication and information exchange among network members;
> * Provide technical and other assistance and materials to further network
> members' wetlands conservation activities;
> * Design, organize and present monthly workshops around the country on
> wetlands conservation science, policy, and  advocacy issues for local
> Audubon activists;
> * Recruit network members to contact federal decision-makers at key
> junctures in the policy-making process; and
> * Maintain campaign databases and electronic communications tools.
> Qualifications: At least two years experience in workshop presentation and
> grassroots organizing, preferably on environmental issues, with a strong
> preference for those with knowledge of wetlands issues. Excellent
> communications skills, well organized, strong interpersonal skills.
