>From today's GREENLines:

FISHHOOK FLEAS SPREAD IN GREAT LAKES REGION:  A species from the Black
Sea region of Asia, is the newest ballast water invader to impact the
Great Lakes region, says the Washington Post 1/17.  The water fleas are
quickly establishing themselves in lakes around the region and are
competing with young trout and salmon for the same food, zooplankton.
