Environmental Capital Network

The Environmental Capital Network (ECN) is seeking candidates for the Manager of the Innovative Energy Group (IEG). The purpose of the IEG is to accelerate the commercialization of promising and innovative clean energy technologies -- to help move them to market more rapidly.  IEG will be the leading networking and informational resource tool used by clean energy entrepreneurs and investors to quicken the capitalization process under the ECN program.  The ECN program offers specialized services that introduce individual, professional, and corporate investors to early and expansion stage companies and assists firms commercializing a wide range of industrial processes, energy, and environmental technologies, products, and services. Since 1995, ECN, a program of the Center for Environmental Policy, Economics, and Science (CEPES), has introduced investors to innovative companies providing products or services that are beneficial to the environment.

Specific efforts will be concentrated on establishing the IEG, developing a core set of capabilities, and reaching out to clean energy investors and entrepreneurs.  The work plan will consist of three tasks. The following provides a short description of the Managers task responsibilities:
Task I: Establish and Grow the IEG
o Prepare Media and Promotional Materials.  
o Assist in Development of an Attractive, Accessible, Usable and Informative Website
o Raise Additional Funds for IEG
o Develop Relationships with Other Related Efforts & Organizations.  
Task II: Develop IEG's Capabilities
o Provide ECN's Capital Networking and Business Development Services to Innovative Energy Technology Companies (IETCs)
o Design and provide a New Customized Assistance Service to Selected IETCs 
o Design and Pilot Additional Networking Services
o Add an Innovative Energy Focus to ECN's DealTracker.  
Task III: Aggressively Promote the IEG
o Make IEG's Services Available to Current and Past IETCs within ECN.  
o Additional Focus on Providing ECN's Capabilities to IETCs.
o Additional Focus on Providing IEG's Capabilities to Investors.  

Degree in Business Finance, Environmental Economics, or affiliated field or equivalent experience and knowledge of business and environmental technology, products, management, and services.  Must possess good team, public speaking and writing skills.

$35K plus Benefits including Health, Dental, Life.
